1. Introduction

Blatero Studio ("we", "us", or "our") operates the website blaterostudio.com (the "Site"). This page informs you of our policies regarding the collection, use, and disclosure of personal data when you use our Site.

3. What Data We Collect

This website is a static site. We do not collect personal data automatically unless you voluntarily provide it — by contacting us via email, or by filling in the Blatero Game Jam registration form. Through the registration form we collect your name, email address, phone number (used only to reach you in the days around the event), place of origin (Taranto / outside Taranto), main skill, experience level, team preference and team name and, optionally, a portfolio link and notes, for the sole purpose of organising and managing the event.

Through the contact form on the Contact page we collect your name, email address, the topic you choose and your message and, only for job applications and only if you provide them, a portfolio / CV link and an attached file (PDF, JPG or PNG). This data is delivered to our mailbox (hello@blaterostudio.com) and used only to reply to you or to evaluate your application. To limit abuse, the form keeps an anonymised (hashed) form of your IP address for one hour.

Through the upcoming events information form (page /startap/info/, reached from the QR code shown at our school meetings) we collect your name, email address, school and, optionally, a message, together with your confirmation that you are at least 14 years old or are filling in the form as a parent or teacher. This data is delivered to our mailbox (hello@blaterostudio.com) and used only to answer your questions and to let you know about our upcoming events (workshops, talks, game jams). Under-14s may not use this form: a parent or teacher can fill it in for them.

4. Legal Basis (GDPR)

Under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), the legal basis for processing the data you submit through the registration form, the contact form and the upcoming events information form is your explicit consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), given via the consent checkbox in the form. You may withdraw consent at any time by writing to hello@blaterostudio.com.

5. Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Request correction of inaccurate data.
  • Request erasure of your data ("right to be forgotten").
  • Object to or restrict processing.
  • Data portability.
  • Lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

6. Cookies

This website does not use tracking cookies. We may use strictly necessary technical cookies for site functionality only.

7. Third-Party Services

The Game Jam registration form is delivered to us through Web3Forms (web3forms.com), a form-processing service that transmits your submission to our email; Web3Forms acts as a data processor and does not use your data for its own purposes. Beyond this, we do not share your personal data with third parties except as required by law or necessary to provide the services you request.

8. Data Retention

We retain Game Jam registration data only for the time needed to organise and run the event, after which it is deleted. Messages sent through the contact form are kept in our mailbox only as long as needed to handle your request (for job applications, to evaluate them). Upcoming events information requests are kept for up to 12 months, then deleted. You may request deletion at any time at hello@blaterostudio.com.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page with an updated revision date.
